Packing up Poverty
Sheffield University students were out in force earlier this month at a Morrison’s supermarket in Sheffield raising money for Village Aid.
Organised by the newly formed Sheffield University Village Aid student society, a total of £379.20 was raised, all of which will find its way to supporting grassroots development projects in one of the five countries that Village Aid work in.
Hannah Smith, the society President commented “It is so exciting to finally get started on some fundraising efforts for the summer. I visited Village Aid partners in the Gambia last year and it’s a great feeling to know exactly where the money we have raised today will be spent.”
